Psalm 27:4 "One thing have I desired; that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life."

The Good & The Bad

Well, the week started very promising – and then it hit the busy schedule days.  I am very proud to say that my bathroom got totally cleaned this week – in 3 15-minute sessions.  Now, I have to KEEP it clean!!!  I haven’t gotten school checked since Tuesday though Kurt did bring me his math while I was on the treadmill Wednesday.  And yes, I still have Christmas decorations up.  The kids said we can leave the wreath on the front gate until the neighbors take the lights off of their house – thank you, neighbors!

On to the good.  Kurt had a Zoo class yesterday and he got to feed the manatees!!!  He was so excited to tell me that he got to put the lettuce in the feeding tube and then throw the stray greens into the tank.  His little face just lit up.  He was pretty excited to talk to Daddy last night and tell him about it, too.  And where was I when this exciting event was taking place?  I was back in the ed building classroom finishing my nap!  It almost never fails – plunk me down in a warm room in the middle of the afternoon and I fall asleep.  It’s gotten to be a joke with me and the instructor.  So, I just stayed put while the class walked through the cold and single digit wind chill to the aquarium – hey, why ruin a perfectly good nap?  And of course it started to snow while we were there and I hadn’t worn my boots.  My feet got cold just thinking about the walk back to the car.  (I survived).

Today I’m off to The Walking Company to invest in some more expensive – I mean good, supportive shoes for my extremely high arched feet.  I asked my friend, H, to go along for moral support.  Nothing like a friend to tell you “Spend the money, girl, those shoes are killer!”

And That’s What’s Happening on the Hobby Farm!
