Psalm 27:4 "One thing have I desired; that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life."

Contentment

I was feeding the animals this morning and had cleaned Sugar’s stall and fed everyone their treats and given them hay. I was coming back to the lamb pen with some fresh water when I realized how content they all were.  All I could hear was the gently ‘crunch’ ‘crunch’ of the lambs eating their hay. The air was crisp and the frost still on most of the grass. The animals’ needs were met and they were just simply content to be.

It got me thinking about how often the Bible talks about contentment.  If only we could stop long enough in the busyness of life to just rest in the fact that our needs are met.

Just a Reflection on the Pond this morning.
