Well, I haven’t been giving very good updates have I?
Let’s see: Luke passed doggy school and then came when called & stopped coming when called. Yesterday he went around the front gate that doesn’t shut & had a neighborhood explore. Cost me a few heartbeats until we found him & brought him home to lots of “BAD DOG”s!
I’m still wearing the boot. I got to wear a tennis shoe for 1/2 an hour a week & a half ago, but promptly had tingling in my toes when Iwent back to the boot. The toes hurt for 2-3 days after that. I’m more confident going into this weeks appt. Also getting tired of how much out-of-pocket expense there is for my foot!!
The weather has been wonderful. I am all for an early spring – especially once I can get out into it. Looking forward to laying the bricks for the raised garden beds. I’m hoping to get two of them going this year. That will move the compost inside the garden fence where Luke can’t get into it. I’m also looking forward to my parents visiting in April. Dad decided that Mom is too old to drive down alone anymore. I guess she probably is, and I’m grateful that she’s come by herself for so long. So, he took a week off work to bring her down & visit. He and Joel are going to fence in the back so that we have a nice fall pasture. We’ll see what happens with the barn & new chicken coop It would be nice to have more layers next winter.
Kristen got SugarBelle tied up for the first time today. I couldn’t remember how long to leave her tied up, so I had her turn her loose after a few minutes. My homestead ladies said a few hours would be wise – of course that was dealing with Molly (who taste very scrumptous by the way). Sugar is NOT Molly!
I’m helping with a friend’s book launching party today, so I need to wash dishes & then wash me!!
And That’s What’s Happening on the Homestead.
