Maybe there is nothing new under the sun because it’s ALL rain!?!
Both dogs fell through as well as a third I was told about.
Molly’s pasture is done and she’s very happy to have lots of green grass. She was a little mad at us for putting her out there and then not showing her how to come home to her barn. We put her out Sunday and then went to church. She stayed out all night in the rain – poor girl. I have since learned that Molly prefers rain above everything else especially if there is green grass involved. She’s settled in and is quite happy. She still likes to come get scratches and the bucket with corn.
I am actively looking for Katahdin sheep and then hopefully we can get a farm dog around the same time. So far there is nothing on the local livestock auction site. The did have Katahdins last month, but we were too under water to pursue them.
The garden is still soggy and I haven’ t even started my seeds yet. I’m planning to get to those today even if it’s 10 o’clock tonight! Have to check the extended forecast to see if we will be having summer this year or just an extended stay pretending we live in Seattle.
And That’s What’s Happening on the Homestead!
