Good morning blogospere! It has definitely been feeling like fall in the morning. I sat under a blanket having my coffee this morning. I love the crisp feel & the thin layer of fog over the pond & the fields. Okay, I admit it, I LOVE FALL! Especially after a hot, hot summer like we’ve had. The cool weather is only here for a teaser; the extended forecast has us back in the 90s very soon. I will enjoy it while it lasts!
I saw the chiropractor again yesterday & he made my neck & back go pop & my neck go snap, crackle. Then he put me on the roller bed – oh, my, my! All I needed was the sound of ocean waves (I could already hear the sea gulls) and I would have sworn I was adrift. I felt so relaxed! My neck is still sore (and then I carried the vacuum down the stairs this morning & now the middle of my back is very unhappy with me), but I can move around which I couldn’t do if I hadn’t seen the “bone cruncher”.
Yesterday I made pear jam from the little pears that were blown off the tree a few weeks ago. I got 10 gorgeous, creamy jars. I can’t wait to try it!
I was nosing around on craigslist last night & found two of the cutest! Nigerian Dwarf goats in the world! One is solid black & the other is black with white markings – it looked like a crown on his side. Karra & I named them Prince & Royal – I want them!! Somehow, I don’t think they’re still there; they were way too cute. But I have been thinking about goats for the weed problems. I’ll keep reading up on my mini livestock & keep you informed (because inquiring minds are just dying to know what I want next!).
And That’s What’s Happening on the Homestead!
