Ah, glorious sunshine!! It’s been so long, I almost forgot what it looked like! We actually turned off the A/C & slept with the windows open last night – yum! The next 5 days are forecast to be rain free. I’ll be able to hill up my potatoes & re-plant some of the things that drowned. After that, we’ll just have to trust the good Lord.
Kristen & I did our walk yesterday & she was tired & didn’t really want to go. We were both moving slow because my hamstrings have been really tight & all of a sudden she asked if she could pick flowers. We had seen gorgeous floods of Black-Eyed Susan when we drove in, but none where we were walking. I told her okay she could pick flowers & she started with a white clover. I picked her a purple & the next thing you know she has a whole fistfull of wild flowers & the sweetest little girl grin on her face. It was nice to catch a glimpse of little girl again from one of my very quickly growing up young ladies.
We’re off to Fun Day at swim lessons. The kids are really looking forward to it. I think they’re both going to pass their level this year. Then we’ll do some errands & I promised them lunch at Bob Evans since they both have Birthday Club cards for a free meal. Karra will be home from camp tomorrow. I don’t know where the week went! Have a great day.
And That’s What’s Happening on the Homestead.
