I know ya’ll are so sick of hearing about the cleaning of my house! When I’ve organized my thoughts about what I’ve learned I’ll do some reflecting on the pond for you. We had a great meeting last night! (Joel is not allowed to grill again – ever!! He grilled my grill ). We had 17 people including us & everyone had a great time. I’m really looking forward to going through Victory Over Darkness and seeing the growth and change in my own life. I’ve certainly done some growing & changing in the past couple of weeks as we’ve prepared for hosting the meetings!
Karra’s foot is better this morning and I’m feeling hopeful that she’ll recover for next week. My back seized up twice yesterday. I’m sure it was triggered by the mowing I did on Monday (goes with my sunburn). I was bent over the kitchen counter in tears begging God for help when I heard my Pastor say, "God doesn’t respond to your need – He responds to your faith!" I could have begged all day and done myself no good, so I prayed, "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief!" and I prayed for healing & went on. By the time I was done mopping it felt better. It acted up again right before people got here, so I applied my faith and Tylenol again and was fine for the evening. I feel great this morning & we’re trying to get as much school done as we can since we’ve missed quite a bit this week.
I wish you could see how clean & nice & decluttered my house is. It’s just beautiful. My goal for the next two weeks is to apply the same pressure cleaning to the upstairs as we’ve applied to the "public" areas downstairs (I could spend two solid weeks just on my bedroom alone!).
Oh my word, we got a wind through here on Monday night that had Joel up in arms. He doesn’t have the anchoring on the barn roof & the wind was going crazy. It blew down an old tree across the road & they were out chopping it up early yesterday morning. Not a scratch on my new barn roof! God is awesome. I’ve got to go for now, but I knew you wanted an update on all of our drama.
And that’s what’s happening on the homestead!
