So much for all of that time to do things. Karra & I went shopping yesterday & accomplished all that we set out to do. We were amazed at the change in the road conditions in the 5 hours that we were gone. I ran her to Caitlin’s & by the time I came back even 33 was drifting over! I shoveled for an hour this morning, but my back wasn’t in the happy condition it was the last time I shoveled. By noon the temp was up, the snow emergency ended & things were melting. Heather was able to bring Karra down the driveway. The only loss was the cancelation of their dance practice this morning. Now Joel says he’s coming home late tonight instead of tomorrow afternoon. I won’t get any of the cleaning done that I had planned. I still have lots of thawed meat that I must get to.
I did get the taxes done – 4 1/2 hours. I should charge heavily for the privilege of having me do the taxes (let’s see, I got my anniversary band cleaned yesterday & the lady said that my wedding ring setting is getting worn. I could charge for a new setting. They have one almost identical to mine. I supposed that would be extortion? I guess resetting the wedding ring will have to wait for a milestone anniversary).
I’m pretty foggy headed today. I was up late watching the Olympics & playing Scrabble & then Catnip woke me up at 6:50. If he wasn’t so cute & entertaining, I’d pull his whiskers!
And that’s what’s happening on the homestead.
