I can’t believe we’re into August already. I got Kurt’s schedule done yesterday and sat down to work on Kristen’s & had lost the Hands of a Child lapbook CD for her English grammar – oiks!!! I prayed about it and decided not to get stressed. It had to be here somewhere. Besides, getting stressed would have ruined my meek & quiet spirit. Later in the day, Kristen started looking for it, so I joined in & we re-looked everywhere I had already looked. Sure enough, in the back of one of the boxes that I store extra homeschooling things in – there it was: Operation English Grammar & a Study of Ohio. Yippy – thank you Lord!
Well, tomorrow is Catnip’s big date with the scissors. I sure hope they don’t "fix" too much of his lively personality. Just the part that likes to bite people. We won’t miss those claws of his half as much as he will. He’s such a sweet little thing – when he’s sleeping!
Karra’s friend, Caitlin, was over Tuesday night & the 3 girls rode 4-wheelers around the yard for almost 3 hours. They picked different places around the yard to be stores & restaurants & then they "buzzed" all over town trying to avoid whomever was currently acting as the police. Joel was thrilled that they spent so much time using the machines. And no one complained about their thumbs being sore on the throttle!
I’d really like to stay home today, but I have a feeling I’m going to make a quick run to the store for paper so that I can get Kristen’s school schedule prnted and filled in. Maybe not. I’d really like to get to the sewing room. I asked my Mom to finish Kristen’s pinafore because I’m really bogged down with the project. I just need it to be over. I’d better go put myself together & make sure math gets done this morning.
And that’s what’s happening on the homestead.
