Last night was our first Mpact meeting. We had 9 girls; I only really embarrassed Kristen once; and most importantly, I SURVIVED!!!! It was actually kind of fun. The girls are sweet and talkative. We’re supposed to have 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, but Lisa wanted to get a jump start over the summer, so we have the girs who will be in those grades next fall. We have actual 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. I’m excited to teach the cooking lesson and then hand off to Heidi for whatever is nexts. She is so good with talking to the Mom’s & getting paperwork straight. I’ve been out of the office for a long time and have lost a lot of my organizational skills! She even remembered to ask about food allergies before we had a snack and wouldn’t you know, I’d brought homemade bread with nuts in it! As it turned out no one has any severe food allergies. Yippee.
Yesterday morning, in Kid Harvest, Kurt won $25 for his memory verse. We’re not sure on the whole story, but he was one of two little boys that new his memory verse the best. Joel wants him to save it for bunny supplies. I have a feeling we may get a rabbit for Christmas – just a feeling at this point.
And that’s what’s happening on the homestead.
