I’ve been after my friend, Heather, to call me if she needed eggs rather than go buy them. Every time I have too many, I call her and she’ll say, "oh, I just bought eggs!" Last night I decided to make everyone eat eggs for supper, so I made a sausage, mushroom & egg scramble. I used 10 of the 20 eggs in the fridge. Heather called this morning and the first thing she asked was if I had any extra eggs!! AUUUGHGHH. I was making egg noodles for supper and needed four egg whites for Kurt’s birthday cake. I laughed and told her I’ll bring what I have tomorrow & more next week. Talk about timing!!
I am not at all happy with this return to winter. I’m just so tired of being cold. I don’t think we’ve lost any of our flower buds or fruit blossoms. The fruit trees weren’t open enought to do damage. My Mom said that my two little lilac blossoms should be fine as well. I am so excited to finally have lilacs again!!
At least it is supposed to be in the upper 50s tomorrow when I have to sit outside at soccer practice again. I froze last week and that was with my coat on! All I need is to get another cold. Ick. Okay, I’ll stop complaining.
Tomorrow is Kurt’s 6th birthday. We’re also having a friend of Karra’s over to spend the night & go swimming on Thursday. Friday is our last zoo adventure and a chance to see the new baby elephant! Saturday, Kurt is taking a friend to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday and we ladies are going to the book store and maybe a movie. Busy weekend ahead. Happy Resurrection!!
And that’s what’s happening on the homestead.
