There once was a little, striped cat named Fred and he was just a little too curious. This curiousity meant that Fred sometimes got left behind. Once, he even had to be mailed home in a box (and that was no fun because it was hard to breathe, and bumpy, and cold, and really, really noisy!). Well, last Friday, Fred had another adventure. He stayed behind at the orthodontist. And it got very dark and very quiet when all of the kids and the people left. And those railroad cars that they put in the kids mouths??? They run all over the place at night! Tiny little whizz bangs, shooting around corners and running into things! It was a very scary experience even for such a curious cat as Fred, stuck as he was on a cold shelf with his nose in the corner. It seemed like a very long time before the lights came back on and the people returned. He was feeling quite sad and lonely for his nice warm house and his nice loving family (not to mention my nice full food dish and Mom’s hot coffee pot!) when the most joyous sound reached his ears. It was Kurt – come to rescue him from the land of braces and tiny railroad cars! Fred promised never to be so curious that he got left behind again. He was so so very glad to go back to Kurt’s warm bed and all of his friends. His sister, Kiara, had missed him very much and so had his friend, Champ the rabbit. It was good to be going home. And he’ll never, never stray again. (cross my paws and chew on my tail!).
And that what’s happening on the homestead.
