I got tired of the big bowl of muffin mix in the fridge, so I baked them all up & froze them. I got a total of 45 regular sized muffins. I think the recipe should have read 30 large or 90 mini. Anyway, I set the batter out for about 20 minutes and then baked them for 20 minutes and they came out perfect.
My chickens survived our decent into arctic weather. Everytime I go out to give them warm water, they’re squacking and happy -ish. The thought of keeping them in the coop until spring is really sad. They need fresh air & sunshine!! They’re still laying eggs and eating tons of feed. No one is molting too quickly, so they all have feathers everywhere they should.
Karra and I found a display of garden seeds at Lowe’s today. Is it that time already? I haven’t made it back to my sewing room yet (mostly because it’s so cold in the laundry room that I don’t even want to go back there to turn my heater on!).
Well, it’s time to go find a home for my new Build A Bear. He’s a black bear dressed in red & black plaid with an Elmer Fudd hat. I named him Yupper (in honor of the U.P.), but we’ve decided to change his name to Yupper "Elmer" Fudd.
And that’s what’s happening on the (snowy) homestead.
