Psalm 27:4 "One thing have I desired; that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life."

My chickens are boys!

We’ve been a little suspicious at the different looks of our chickens, but when your hen tries to crow, you take a much closer look!!  We got out the hatchery catalog and sure enough, 3 of our "girls" look very much like the "boys" in the picture.  I bought pullets at the feed store, not cockerels and not straight run.  I paid an extra buck for girls!  So, we have the dilemma of who goes to freezer camp?  Wiggles?  Abbey?  Henrietta?

We got through 2 days of school.  I was right about the schedule though.  I had to start tweaking at Kurt’s soccer game last night.  Oh, he’s sooooo cute!  We shifted a few things and then today, Karra ran out of time trying to get her boat load of history done (they threw in a mini-essay for today).  So, she asked if we could make another shift and try to do her time with Mom right after lunch.  We’ll give it a try for tomorrow.  I can say that I’m impressed with Kristen’s new spelling program.  She’s starting to see the pattern in word families and getting excited about knowing how to spell them.

I need to go to bed.  TTFN

We bought three Aracanas with the idea they would lay some pretty blue eggs. We were hoping the chickens were just confused; all three kept crowing! LOL

Nope…we have three roosters to wake us up at 5:30 every morning. My son doesn't want to eat them, so I guess we are stuck.

    Good luck with yours!
