I can’t believe it’s been a whole month, since I last blogged. I hope no one kicks me out of the blogosphere for this. I’m still a newbie!!
I was posting on the Sonlight forum in response to a question about what goals we have for school from now to Thanksgiving. I like my answer well enough (I agree with myself as wonderful DH is so fond of saying) that I thought I’d share an edited version here on my blog.
Our kids really do grow up too fast and the holidays seem to go by in a flash and rush of cool air (or arctic air depending on where you were shopping on Friday!). So, my prayer for this Christmas season:
My prayer for this Christmas season is to truely enjoy it. We have outside commitments of dance, a class at the zoo, and my son’s preschool, but I’ve also promised myself not to over commit. I bought a beautiful edition of A Christmas Carol and our goal is to read it in about 20 days. I want to see this Christmas through my children’s eyes and remember the magic that it held for me when I was their age. Christmas will come whether I mail 50 Christmas cards or only 20. The magic, the moments, the meaning – that’s what I’d like this year.
