We’ve had the most insane week around here, unfortunately not due to farm animals and the such (though I do refer to the cats as "the livestock"). On Monday our oldest daughter started volunteering as a teacher’s helper at her dance studio. We shuffled schedules so that I now grocery shop after I drop her off. She nearly beat us home 3 1/2 hours later! On Tuesday, my son goes to school and the girls and I usually go to the gym, but decided to work on school so we could take Thursday off for Kristen’s birthday. Yesterday morning Kristen finally got her American Girl doll, Nicki. We ran some errands in the morning – in the POURING DOWN rain – then took Kurt to school. We picked Kurt up from school and fixed a fast dinner (my darling girls need some help in the read and follow directions department!) and tore off to Kristen’s dance classes. Today we’re going to do school and clean the house before Karra’s piano lesson. Tomorrow, it’s rocks in the driveway (unless I forget to order them and then I’m in BIG trouble), and a surprise horseback ride for Kristen.
I’ve come to the conclusion that we are unschoolers at heart. If I could just pull my other leg out of the "school" box, we would enjoy this wild journey even more. So, I’m back to the drawing board with my schedules and plans and things. I love to work out in the morning, but hate getting up. Now, I’m working out at 7pm! I don’t know what I’ll do when Joel’s OT slows down and he’s actually home before 9:00. Maybe he’ll workout, too ROFLOL!!!!
Blessing to the blog-o-sphere. Thanks for listening. TTFN
